Precious Finds: From Trenton, while selling an apartment full of furnishings for a lady moving to a retirement home we came across an interesting painting she had purchased in the 50's. Although she was always proud of her painting, she was absolutely thrilled when it sold at auction for $8,500.00
	During a pick-up from an estate, we came across an old box full of miscellaneous articles in the basement and were advised it was articles to be thrown in dump. We convinced the executor that we should take it with us and go through it. Much to the surprise of the executor we found an old toy which sold for $1,650.00 at auction.

We were called to Carleton Place, Ontario, to go through a home and take what we thought we could sell. With our truck getting full, the executor advised us everything in the one room was heading to the dump. We looked through the room and salvaged a small table. While the executor thought we were crazy for taking it, the table, being a rare Pembroke style, brought $2,500.00 at auction. While taking articles from a Toronto home of a gentleman moving to a retirement residence, he handed us a small lion figurine. Told us he just liked it but had no room. Much to his surprise the lion was a piece of Redware which sold at auction for $3,700.00 - another very pleased consignor.
